Mijn hartslag lijkt uit de pas te zijn - hij versnelt dan weer, dan weer stopt hij. Het lijkt wel alsof zelfs de muren ademen met de bas mee, en de regen buiten het raam speelt in harmonie mee. Woorden verliezen hun vorm, lossen op in geluid, en er blijft alleen over wat binnenin het lichaam is - borst, benen, hoofd - alles zoemt in één ononderbroken stroom. Het is onduidelijk waar die warmte vandaan komt: ofwel van herinneringen, ofwel van de muziek die zelf beslist waar je pijn moet doen en waar je moet branden. En op een gegeven moment wordt het duidelijk - de weg is verloren, maar er is nog steeds beweging. Het zit nu gewoon onder de huid.
