Alsof er een lampje werd aangezet op de discotheek, dat al lang stof stond te verzamelen onder het plafond van een oude club. De lucht werd meteen dicht van geluid - er waren niet veel woorden, maar de betekenis was duidelijk zonder vertaling: het lichaam wist zelf wat te doen. De bas beweegt de lucht, alsof er een motor onder zit die zich niets aantrekt van de fatsoensnormen en de stilte van de buren. Hier wordt niet nagedacht, niet gezocht naar betekenissen, niet aan strategieën gebouwd - er worden gewoon handen opgestoken, de vorm wordt verloren en men wordt deel van de algemene puls. Bij de een blijft de hak steken, bij de ander laten de wimpers los, maar dat maakt allemaal niet uit. Het belangrijkste is het moment waarop het ritme luider is dan de gedachten.
